You Can Count On It

It's something that we can't always see

Yet we know in full confidence that it's there

It might be gone for days, weeks or simply moments

It leaves us every night

But comes back every morning

Some days it's brightly shining and others its light is hidden

Yet it still shines

Sometimes our view is blocked so we can't see it

Yet we still know it's there

It's a lot like our lives

Some days our light shines brightly

Sometimes, it simply doesn't

Sometimes our light is dim for days, weeks or simply moments

Sometimes our view of the next step, the end goal, the future, the light at the end of the tunnel is blocked

But sometimes you just need a different view

Just as when the sun may be blocked by trees or buildings and we can't see it's full beauty

Sometimes you may just need to move to a different spot where there are less trees or buildings so you can see clearly

There may be trees blocking your view

You may need to simply look at it from a different angle

And just as the sun rises every morning

God's mercies are new every morning as well

There is always another day

Just as the sun rises and sets

You can count on it
